Progressly’s Innovation Workshop: Startup Grind Update

progressly innovation workshop

We first met Progress.ly in February at Startup Grind, a tech startup event in Silicon Valley. We had a blast hosting the event’s cocktail party, meeting hundreds of entrepreneurs at our booth and giving presentations on the importance of design-led mobile innovation. The plan was to give one lucky startup a Sourcebits Innovation Workshop (valued at $25,000). We quickly discovered it would be impossible to choose just one — so we gave away two! Progressly, one of the winners, is “the world’s first shared repository of business knowledge.” We just completed their workshop at our HQ in San Francisco.

During the workshop, we outlined our key recommendations – including a revamp of their web-based product as well as a development blueprint and strategy for mobile. After an intense day of discussions, our workshop team worked to create a strategic planning document for Progressly. Whether the team moves forward with Sourcebits or goes in another direction, it’s our pleasure to provide advice to Progressly as they target a late summer launch. (And we will keep you posted.)

HOW SOURCEBITS MOBILE INNOVATION WORKSHOPS HELP STARTUPS

A startup needs a Sourcebits Mobile Innovation Workshop for as many various reasons as the ideas behind those startups. Maybe your mobile app isn’t fully baked. Perhaps you need more engineering firepower. Or you’re frustrated by a lack of innovation in the marketplace and need big ideation. Maybe you’re having trouble defining or refining your niche. Or you want the support and planning that a workshop with mobile design and development experts can provide. Regardless of where you are with your startup, Sourcebits can help take you from initial idea through launch and ongoing success. Startups benefit from our design-first approach and 360 degrees of support services.

Here’s how the Innovation Workshop works:

  • Startups join us at our headquarters in San Francisco for a 1-day intensive workshop to discuss their mobile app’s business needs and then participate in an intense ideastorm.
  • Our innovation team spends 2-3 weeks putting together a full A-Z plan. This includes everything from full feature outlining, some visual concepts, a business roadmap, a timeline for v1 and beyond, and an accurate cost estimate.
  • We present the plan, and modify it based on feedback.
  • With everything lined up, Sourcebits can then design and build the app.
  • You get a mobile app development team that fully understands your business needs and your vision – from day one. And we measure our success on YOURS.

Turning an app idea into a successful business reality is rewarding, fun, exciting and full of possibilities. Find out how a Sourcebits Mobile Innovation Workshop can benefit your startup.
